November 20, 2023 – Haworth’s Cardigan Lounge, a sustainable and versatile lounge chair for modern workspaces, recently won a Gold IDEA award from the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) in the Furniture and Lighting category. Celebrating excellence for over four decades, the IDSA IDEA awards are one of the longest running and most prestigious design award programs in existence.

A collaboration between Haworth and renowned designer Patricia Urquiola, the Cardigan Lounge features a simple and sustainable design. It conveys a lightness at first sight and the cozy digital-knit upholstery warms up a space.
The Cardigan Lounge combines a lightweight design with inviting warmth and comfort. It is comprised of a sturdy steel frame, a customizable 3D knit fabric, high-quality foam and six screws. The chair requires no glue for assembly, making disassembly effortless. This streamlined approach aligns with Haworth’s circularity goals, minimizing environmental impact throughout its lifecycle.
