HAWORTH ISSUES 2022 CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY REPORT

With a focus on people, community, circular economy and operational performance, highlights include announcing net zero path and sustainable products

May 12, 2023 – Haworth has released its annual corporate social responsibility report that tracks the company’s mission to help protect and restore the environment, support and strengthen global communities and foster well-being. With a long tradition of sustainability, including ISO 14001 certification, zero waste to landfill status, being a signatory of the United Nations Global Compact, Carbon Disclosure Project reporting and commitments to the Paris Climate Agreement, Haworth has issued this report since 2005. Haworth’s goals are focused on people and community, circular economy and operational performance. Highlights for 2022 include:

  • Announced Haworth’s path to net zero through the Science Based Targets Initiative by 2050
  • Recognition as a REPREVE Champion of Sustainability for continued commitment to environmental excellence in diverting 16 million plastic bottles
  • Zody II and Zody LX ergonomic seating were the first furniture products certified under the new and rigorous Cradle to Cradle Certified Product Standard Version 4.0
  • Launched 3 sustainable textiles – Scapes, Novelty and Hobson
  • Employees around the world supported communities through volunteering, participating in clean ups, ridding natural areas of invasive species and ensuring food security for young children
  • Implemented the Haworth Language Bridge program to help those with limited to no experience speaking English join the company, feel welcome and thrive at work.
