• Patricia Urquiola – Openest

Patricia Urquiola, designer and architect, was born in Oviedo, Spain. She now lives and works in Milan where she runs Studio Urquiola. Her work is widely known to be playful and poetic, yet pragmatic and functional, a creative combination that is the magic behind her work. She comes and goes through conventional time-- rethinking, reinventing, and creating new. The effect is a powerful reminder of the past and exploration into the now, always creating a new experience for the user.

“I am a kind of curious person . . . we move, in the studio, for really different projects, that makes us really experimental”

  • Marcel Wanders – Dalia

Born in Boxtel, the Netherlands, in 1963, he developed his experience in the design field first in the sphere of Droog Design. He continued with Wanders Wonders brand, and nowadays with Moooi. He collaborates with Authentics, Flos, Magis, Mandarina Duck, and Salviati. Impetuous and always enthusiastic, he creates delicate and light objects as though used technology was a second nature for human race. Marcel Wanders believes it is important to learn about materials, to know what they can do, how they are produced and how they are processed: in this way he creates his project, a synthesis of handcraft and industrial technology.

“You must be open to design, it’s where creativity starts.”
