Chairman Emeritus

Dick serves as the Chairman Emeritus, engaged in customer interaction, product development and engineering – his areas of special passion. Dick joined his family owned business in 1964. He led the organization from a single product line with sales of 200 million and 200 employees in 1976 to build a broad based, multi product line company with sales of $1.66 billion and almost 8,000 members worldwide.  He holds 14 patents.

Dick is a graduate of Western Michigan University.  He sits on the board of advisors for the Mackinac Center for Public Policy, is a member of the Michigan Business Roundtable and is involved in several community initiatives.
